…Love has no ending…

78230

I‘ll love you, dear, I’ll love you

   Till China and Africa meet,

And the river jumps over the mountain

And the salmon sing in the street,

‘I’ll love you till the ocean

Is folded and hung up to dry

And the seven stars go squawking

   Like geese about the sky.

‘The years shall run like rabbits,

For in my arms I hold

The Flower of the Ages,

And the first love of the world.’

But all the clocks in the city

   Began to whirr and chime:

‘O let not Time deceive you,

   You cannot conquer Time.

‘In the burrows of the Nightmare

   Where Justice naked is,

Time watches from the shadow

And coughs when you would kiss

  1. Saaransh, you have outdone yourself with this one. Seriously man. This is such an awesome poem. And you know I’m a fan of your sketches. Simply wonderful, my friend.
Happy New Year, btw. I hope you had a beautiful holiday season. Do you celebrate Christmas?
    Blessings 🙂 ❤

      • Ohhhh, hehehe. No problem. The sketch is awesome.
Hahahaha, boxing day eh? Are you in the US or Canada? Or do they also have boxing day where you are? It’s funny because Brazil never had boxing day, and then this year, all-of-a-sudden, they did. 🙂

      • Ohhhhh, I thought you lived in India. Do you get good sales on boxing day there? I’m a sales girl myself. Hahaha.
Just out of curiosity Saaransh, which part of India are you from? I had the amazing opportunity to live in Jaipur for a few months. My husband was doing a course there. And there I was there in 2000 as well in Calcutta, Darjeeling and Pedong.
        🙂

      • India is great. I would love to visit again for a third time. I had the opportunity to spend the day in New Delhi. I didn’t get to see much, but maybe next time. Who know?
        Have a great week Saaransh.
        🙂
